"The Odd Couple" is a play by Neil Simon. Following its premiere on Broadway in 1965, the characters were revived in a successful 1968 film and 1970s television series, as well as several other derivative works and spin-offs. The plot concerns two mismatched roommates: the neat, uptight Felix Ungar and the slovenly, easygoing Oscar Madison.

Auditions will be held at Orrville Community Theater, 307 Hostetler Road, Orrville, on Friday, June 22 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, June 24 from 2-5 p.m. for “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon. Auditions are for individuals over the age of 18.

This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assemble for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder his wife left him.

Late to arrive is Felix Unger, who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed, and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as "The Odd Couple" is born.
