Kate Gwynne grew up in Dover on a small farm with a pond just like the one in her book. She now resides in Central Ohio with her husband, son and their dogs while her parents still live on the family farm.

                        

Dover Public Library will welcome local author Kate Gwynne on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. She authored the children’s book, “Ponder,” about a shy farm creature having a very special day.

The author grew up in Dover on a small farm with a pond just like the one in her book. She now resides in Central Ohio with her husband, son and their dogs while her parents still live on the family farm.

The book is illustrated by the author’s niece, Jordan Strohl. Gwynne will read her book to patrons and have books for purchase that day.

The Dover Public Library is located at 535 N. Walnut St., across from Dover High School.
