Ventrac, SmithFoods, and Orrville Area United Way joined forces in August to provide Crates for Classrooms to Dalton and Orrville Elementary School teachers. Ventrac employees generously donated items that topped the teacher priority lists of both schools. Ventrac staff then worked together to pack 73 crates, donated by SmithFoods.

The crates were personally delivered by Ventrac employees during convocation days to teachers who often dip into their own pockets to purchase classroom essentials. Orrville Area United Way was thrilled to coordinate this collaboration between local businesses and educators.

While the Orrville Salvation Army - Maiwurm Service Center continues its critical work of supporting over 185 area children with needed back to school supplies, the Crates for Classrooms initiative aimed to complement these efforts by directly aiding educators. It is amazing to see the generosity of businesses, nonprofit organizations, and volunteers work together to support students and teachers in the community.
