The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will welcome best-selling children’s author Josh Funk on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. This program will take place virtually on Zoom, a free video conferencing site.

“This will be the first time we have hosted an author virtually,” children’s services manager Linda Uhler said. “Josh Funk has written some fantastic books, and we can’t wait for his visit to hear his stories and listen to him speak about his writing process.”

Funk will video conference in from his studio in Boston. According to Uhler, he will talk about how he became an author, help attendees understand how a story transforms from an idea into a book and read one of his stories.

Funk writes silly books such as the “Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast” series, the “How to Code with Pearl and Pascal” series, the “It’s Not a Fairy Tale” series and more. Since fall 2015 Funk has visited or virtually visited over 400 schools, classrooms and libraries and is a board member of The Writers’ Loft in Sherborn, Massachusetts.

Registration is required for this free program. Visit the library’s website at www.tusclibrary.org to register using the online event calendar or call 330-364-4474. All those who register for this program will be emailed a link to the Zoom meeting on the morning of June 10.
