The blood profile testing includes diabetes (blood sugar), cholesterol (HDL, LDL, triglycerides and total cholesterol), anemia, thyroid function, liver disease and kidney disease.

The cost is $45 for the complete testing package, and for an additional $15, men age 50 and older can receive a PSA prostate screen. Payment is made to the clubs and is by cash or check only on March 4 with checks made payable to New Philadelphia Rotary Club.

Union Hospital’s phlebotomy staff will draw the blood samples, and testing will be completed in the hospital’s laboratory. A printed report will be sent to the address provided by each participant, and this will include all test results, noting any result outside the normal range for the age and gender of the individual.
