Expressing gratitude to voters from Board of DD

Letter to the Editor:

On behalf of the governing board, individuals supported, their families and Holmes DD/Training Center staff, I am writing this letter to express gratitude to Holmes County voters.

The Holmes County Board of Developmental Disabilities has been in existence for more than 50 years. During that time Holmes County voters have not wavered in their support. Continued support means toddlers and their parents receive help as they work on developmental milestones, students are learning in a manner that meets their unique needs, adults have opportunities for meaningful activities and employment, necessary supports are provided to live in the community, and health and safety are protected.

During this time of uncertainty, Holmes County has demonstrated it has a compassionate heart for 300 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by passing our renewal with additional funds levy on April 28. Holmes DD/Training Center is encouraged by your vote of confidence as we aim to provide excellent service.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Marianne M. Mader

Superintendent

Holmes County Board of Developmental Disabilities
