The Uniontown Lions Club is sponsoring its 26th annual festival for the community to raise funds for the support of various community-service and outreach programs.

                        

The Uniontown Lions’ annual festival will be Aug. 18-21.

The Uniontown Lions Club is sponsoring its 26th annual festival for the community to raise funds for the support of various community-service and outreach programs.

This year’s festival will be held on the grounds at the HRM Complex adjacent to the Hartville Marketplace. Last year’s festival was canceled due to the virus. This year’s festival theme is “Back Together Again.”

The grand marshal for this year’s festival is Rich Kibler. Kibler retired on May 30 after 22 years at Lake Local School District serving as music administrator and band director.

The festival will include food, rides, games, instant bingo, bingo, a 50/50 drawing and entertainment every day.

On Wednesday the festival will open at 6 p.m. with La Flavour ‘50s, ‘60’s and dance music from 7-10:30 p.m.

On Thursday the festival will open at 6 p.m. with Hymn Sing Local Churches from 6-8 p.m. and Better Morning (soft rock music) from 8:45-10:15 p.m.

On Friday the car show will be at 4 p.m., the festival will open at 6 p.m. and Dave & Daphne – Live from Nashville will perform from 7-10:30 p.m.

On Saturday the parade will be at 5 p.m., the festival will open after the parade, Lake High School’s band will perform at 7 p.m., Gerald Harris The Entertainer will perform jazz, oldies and Motown from 9-10:15 p.m. and the fireworks will be at 10:30 p.m.
