The Day of Caring was made possible by the sponsorship from First National Bank of Dennison.

“We were happy to be able to help make this day happen. Seeing so many volunteers makes you proud to be a part of this community,” said Nichole Zesiger, president of First National Bank of Dennison.

“Many companies are looking for employee-engagement opportunities, which include volunteering in the community and team-building activities. Day of Caring is a great way for organizations to offer their employees a way to make a difference in our community,” said Susan Reidenbach, United Way of Tuscarawas County community resources coordinator.

“We have greatly enjoyed meeting the businesses they send our way and creating new relationships. It's just a win-win all around,” said Wendy Zucal, executive director of the Dennison Depot.

“We participate in the United Way Day of Caring because we enjoy making a difference and serving our community and beyond. We are committed to serve with full compassion, creativity and stewardship. Participation is good for society as communities seek shared goals and work together for mutual overall gain. Belonging may not be enough. Participation and active engagement allows our team members to connect outside the workplace,” said Dwayne Richardson, president Twin City Medical Center.

“It’s a great way for individuals to deepen their understanding of local human service needs, find a cause they care about and get to work making a difference,” said Robin Waltz, president/CEO of the United Way of Tuscarawas County.
