Ground broken on Kidron Commons
Kidron Commons celebrated the groundbreaking for a professional building in the heart of Kidron on July 24. The 2-story structure has ground-level access on both floors.
Spanning 13,678 square feet in total, the building will cater to an array of business needs. Approximately half of the upper story will be occupied by the Kidron branch of Kaufman Realty & Auctions. The remaining portion on this floor has been designed to accommodate nine separate professional offices, complemented by a conference room.
Moreover, the lower level of the building is designed with a drive-thru concept, providing a space that can be adapted to various needs based on tenant preferences. Potential uses for this space may range from a café or coffee shop to functional and professional office spaces or even retail outlets.
Engineering, design work and permitting were completed by Tekton Engineering of Berlin. The project’s general contractor is Ivan Weaver Construction of Fredericksburg. With the development well underway, an estimated finish date of the first part of 2024 is anticipated.
Financing for this venture is being provided by Farmers National Bank.
“We would like to thank our local Kidron community for all of its support and encouragement during the planning process and for helping us get to this point in the project,” Eli Troyer of Kidron Commons said. “We are excited to fill a need and to invest back into the Kidron area.”
