Orrville Public Library will host author Weis on Aug. 22
Brandon Weis, author of “This Is Gonna Hurt,” will be at Orrville Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 4 p.m. to share the challenges and experiences he had while hiking the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, the Continental Divide Trail and the Arizona Trail.
No registration is needed for this free program.
Bits & Bytes: Privacy 101
From social media to smartphones, your personal information is being tracked. Staff from Orrville Public Library and Massillon Public Library will partner to present Online Privacy 101. You will learn ways to protect your personal information and take back your privacy. The program will be held in Orrville Public Library’s lower-level meeting room on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Cookbook Club
The club will discuss “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinner’s Ready!” With 112 recipes, you’ll be sure to find something that will fit your schedule.
Pick up a copy of the cookbook at Orrville Public Library’s circulation desk and plan to come to the club meeting on Monday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. Prepare a dish or two to share with others. No registration is necessary.
Family Cookbook Club
Families with kids in third grade through sixth grade are invited to join the staff of Orrville Public Library for a family cookbook event on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. Suggested cookbooks for the evening are Katie Sullivan Morford’s “Best Lunch Box Ever” and “Weelicious Lunches” by Catherine McCord.
Families are asked to prepare a recipe or two together from the cookbooks and bring the food to share, potluck style. The group also will discuss ways to make quick, creative and healthy lunches for the new school year.

Fall Book Review
If you are interested in learning what new books will come out this fall, Orrville Public Library’s Trendy Titles program will fill you in. Staff members will share books from a variety of genres.
This free program will be Thursday, Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Registration can be completed online beginning Aug. 12 by clicking the program title on the library website calendar or by calling the information desk.
Grandparents Story Time
Kids age 3-6 are invited to join the staff of Orrville Public Library for a story time in honor of grandparents. There will be stories, songs and a craft to honor these special people. Choose from the 10 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. session on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
