Brant Miller, 18, is a senior at West Holmes High School and the son of Myron and Andrea Miller. He is employed by Village Motors.
Brant attended Millersburg Elementary, where his favorite teacher was “Mrs. Rennecker because she showed me that hard work could be fun and creative.”
The teacher he feels has made the biggest impact on him is “Mr. K because he showed his dedication to his students inside and outside of the classroom.”
Some memorable scholastic experiences are making Business Student of the Year twice, being nominated for Embarq Leaders of Tomorrow, making National Honor Society, and maintaining a 4.0 GPA from elementary on.
Brant’s extracurricular activities are playing percussion (drumset) for various groups, football, baseball, being class president, a member of student council, a member of NHS, and a member of The Crossing.
His future plans are “to go to college and obtain a degree in either business or medicine.”
In his spare time, he likes to “hang out with family and friends, practice drumming, and watch movies.”
Brant’s words of wisdom for younger students are, “As I was told in high school, to overcome adversity is to strengthen character.”
If he could change anything about the American school system, “I think there should be less stress and importance put on the ACT, because not all people are cut out to take standardized tests, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have true intelligence.”

“Brant Miller is an astounding student who is eager to fulfill his fullest potential. He is very involved at West Holmes High School on both an academic and athletic level. Brant strives to develop strong relationships with his teachers, as well as his peers. He is always searching for opportunities to gain more knowledge and to grow as an individual.”
