In order to provide a greater degree of protection against the spread of COVID-19 to patients, staff and the community, Aultman Orrville Hospital, Dunlap Family Physicians and the Orrville Aultman Home Medical Supply have announced additional patient/visitor restrictions. These are effective immediately.

Regarding DFP, office hours have changed. Patients with confirmed appointments will be seen between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and 8-10 a.m. on Saturdays. Calls for an appointment will be taken from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8-10 a.m. on Saturdays. To make an appointment, call 330-684-2015.

Meanwhile, any patient also can use their mobile device to access AultmanNow, which puts you in touch with a qualified clinician without having to leave your home. To learn more about AultmanNow, visit www.Aultman.org/aultmannow.

At Aultman Home Medical Supply in Orrville, the storefront is closed until further notice. Patients and customers can still call the store at 330-478-9623.

Regarding patient/visitor access at AOH, access to the facility will be limited to only the emergency department entrance, and visitors (nonemployees) will no longer be permitted to visit.

Exemptions to this restriction include:

Maternity: One visitor or caregiver per patient will be permitted with no time restriction.

Emergency department: One visitor or caregiver per patient will be permitted with no time restrictions for the emergency department waiting area. The visitor/caregiver will only be permitted in the patient care area if the patient requires assistance or is a pediatric patient.

Surgical patients: All inpatient/outpatient surgical patients are permitted to enter the facility based on scheduled procedures. One visitor/caregiver is permitted to remain with the surgical patient. Exceptions also can be made by clinical leadership for emergency situations such as end-of-life and trauma and for discharge instructions.

All visitors/caregivers noted in the exceptions above must first pass a screening for fever, flu/cold symptoms and travel to a foreign country in the last 14 days or exposure to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. In addition all visitors/caregivers must be 16 years or older and must remain in the patient’s room. COVID-19-pending or positive result patients will not be permitted.

AOH is exploring options for virtual visitation for patients and families to communicate. If a patient has a wireless device, video calls are permitted and encouraged. To keep up to date on the latest information, go to www.Aultman.org/covid-19.
