The Holmes Center for the Arts will offer the four-week class, “Drawing Nature in Graphite Pencil,” on Tuesdays from April 7-28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Beacon Cafe, 2157 U.S. 62, Winesburg.

The class will focus on some of the detailed beauty seen in nature. Participants will use graphite pencils to render realistic drawings of natural subjects with a final project of a small handmade accordion book. The book will be filled as you go with your own drawings, using the skills learned in class. Paper is included. Students will need to bring their own supplies or purchase pencils and erasers from the instructor.

The cost is $65 per student or $72 per student with pencils. Students will need four artist grade pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 6B), which can be ordered on registration. Kneaded rubber and white plastic erasers will be available for purchase the first night of class.

Register at www.holmescenterforthearts.org/art or by calling 330-473-2879.
