As part of Pomerene Hospital's commitment to the safety and health of patients, employees, volunteers and visitors, Pomerene has chosen to restrict visitation in response to widespread flu activity. Effective immediately, those under the age of 14 will not be permitted to visit the hospital.

The hospital is following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control in limiting and restricting visitation to the hospital until further notice.

Pomerene also will display posters at all entries notifying visitors of the restrictions and asking those with flu-like symptoms not to visit.

These symptoms include but are not limited to fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and fatigue (tiredness).

Educate yourself on the signs and symptoms of the flu and practice good hand hygiene.

Questions or concerns may be directed to Amanda Galbraith, infection preventionist, at 330-674-1584 ext. 1054.
