The Boys & Girls Club of Wooster recently announced the acquisition of two new 2024 Ford Transit 15-passenger vans, made possible through a state grant awarded in fall 2024.

The purchases mark the first time in BGCW’s history that the club can transport youth year round, connecting them to programs and opportunities throughout the Wooster community.

“These vans represent so much more than just transportation,” said Jon Hutchison, BGCW CEO. “They symbolize access, opportunity and growth for our club. The ability to connect our youth to local resources and experiences is truly transformative.”

To celebrate, BGCW staff and board members gathered at Pallotta Ford on Feb. 10 to pick up the vans. Pallotta Ford has not only played a key role in this journey, but also donated the first two years of service for the vehicles. Owner Mike Pallotta was present to personally hand over the keys.

These vans will allow BGCW to expand its reach, ensuring more youth have access to programs, experiences and support systems, from field trips and college visits to connecting kids to extracurricular activities.
