Christmas in Zoar returns to Historic Zoar Village
Christmas in Zoar will return to Historic Zoar Village on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 from noon to 4 p.m.
The visitors can experience the village in all its Christmas splendor through guided and self-guided holiday tours, and there will be demonstrations of 19th-century American and German holiday traditions including the preparation of holiday food and wares.
Additional activities include live musical entertainment, getting hot chocolate, and visits from Kristkind, the German Belsnickel and Santa.
Various local choirs and musical groups will perform live holiday music including the Camarada Brass Quintet, Delphian Chorale, Hoover High School choir and Tuscarawas Valley High School choir.
On Saturday guests can attend a church service at the Zoar United Church of Christ at 5:15 p.m., followed by a tree-lighting ceremony in the Zoar Garden at 6 p.m. Additionally, guests can attend a live Christmas concert on Sunday at the Zoar United Church of Christ at 5 p.m.
Seasonal gifts and décor are available for purchase from vendors and crafters located throughout the village. Visitors also may shop at the Zoar Store, Bakery and Bimeler Museum.
