State Rep. Meredith Craig (R-Wayne Township) took the oath of office on Jan. 6 to begin her first term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 77th House District, which encompasses Wayne County.

“I am truly honored to advocate as a strong voice for the 77th House District,” Craig said. “I look forward to working on conservative policy that delivers tax relief to Ohioans, spurs economic growth in our communities and protects our Second Amendment rights.”

Craig has experience working with the Ohio General Assembly, most recently serving as the director of health care policy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. She also served as the assistant director of government affairs for the Ohio Department of Insurance for six years.

Craig and her husband Ricky have been married for four years and are active members of Hillside Baptist Church.

The Jan. 6 session marked the beginning of the 136th General Assembly.
