Dress a Child to assist 980 children
Dress a Child is a local charity providing assistance to Tuscarawas County families for school clothes each summer. All money raised goes directly to qualified K-12 children.
More than 500 applications for back-to-school clothing were received by Dress a Child. They were able to accept 459 with a total of 980 children. Gift cards for clothing will be given out to those applicants on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Tuscarawas County Main Library in New Philadelphia from 1:30-4 p.m. and 6-7:45 p.m. and again on Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Dover Public Library from noon to 3 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Bring a photo ID that matches the name on the application. Families that did not qualify this year have been sent letters explaining why they were denied. Email tuscdressachild@outlook.com.
