Harvest Bash, an annual fall event, will return for its 20th year on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 5-8 p.m. in the gymnasium of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception School, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster.

Harvest Bash provides a safe and drug-free place to celebrate family and neighborhood togetherness.

“One of the most important ways to prevent substance abuse and risky behavior is spending quality time together as a family, and Harvest Bash is the perfect, fun opportunity to do so,” said Nonya Stalnaker, Community Coalition and AEP manager.

The event includes free food, games, music and a costume contest for youth and adults. Prizes will be awarded. It also will feature Touch-A-Truck with the Wooster Fire Department and the Ohio National Guard’s inflatable games with giveaways. Games include pumpkin toss, corn-hole toss, a cake walk and other carnival-type activities.

Music and dancing will be in the gym. All events and food are free to the community. Food and drinks include hot dogs, caramel apples, popcorn and juice.

Stalnaker is helping coordinate the event, which is hosted by CIRCLE Coalition, whose mission is to bring together Wooster community members with diverse backgrounds to address the common goal of reducing substance abuse among youth and adults.

Sponsors include OneEighty, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception School, the Ohio National Guard, Wooster Fire Department, Wooster Teen Institute, McDonald’s and more.
