Wooster Fireworks Inc. seeking donations for July 4 show
The Wooster Community Fireball and Fireworks Celebration will take place Friday, July 4.
Fireworks are provided to Wooster as a community service and are not funded by the City of Wooster. Wooster Fireworks Inc. was established in 2001 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation to provide fireworks to the City of Wooster for its annual Fourth of July celebration. The members of Wooster Fireworks Inc. all work on a volunteer basis.
This year’s fireworks will cost $20,000, with $10,000 being provided by the Wooster Exchange Club. The remainder of the money will need to be donated by Wooster Rotary, local businesses and members of the community.
Due to heightened security concerns, insurance costs have risen. Inflation also has increased the costs of the fireworks. The total cost of the 2025 celebration will be $22,000, which includes all other support expenses.
Anyone interested in supporting the event should make donations payable to Wooster Fireworks Inc., P.O. Box 1424, Wooster, OH 44691. Contributions may be written off in their entirety as a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
