Wooster native recognized at the Ohio History Connection

Doug Brown, professional skateboarder, author and motivational speaker, and Wooster resident attended a VIP reception at the Ohio History Connection museum for the opening of their Ohio Champion of Sports exhibit, in which Brown is featured.
A large photo of Brown is on display along with one of his pro model skateboards illuminated in a showcase. A flat screen plays an interview about his life, which was filmed by the museum over a year ago.
Brown, who is from Wooster, is among a select number of Ohio athletes chosen for this exhibit. Many of those athletes were in attendance at the reception, along with the Ohio governor and state representatives.
Brown said he is extremely humbled and honored, as his entire career as a professional skateboarder has led to this milestone.
