OBITUARY

                        
Alma Beachy Alma Mae Beachy, 70, of Sugarcreek, died Jan. 5, 2010, at her residence. Alma was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Tuscarawas County, to the late Noah N. and Lovina Miller. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Surviving are her husband, Sylvanus H. Beachy; daughters, Miriam (Atlee) Hershberger of Sugarcreek, Celesta (Jeremy) Chupp of Holmesville, and Laurie (Daniel) Troyer of Sugarcreek; son, James (Martha) Beachy of the home; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Elsie) Miller of Oklahoma, Norman (Ada) Miller of McKay, and Henry (Mary) Miller of Walnut Creek; and sisters, Emma (Ben) Raber of Baltic, Elizabeth (Delbert) Troyer of Sugarcreek, and Mabel Miller of Fresno. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Emanuel Miller; and an infant sister. Services were held Jan. 8, 2010, at the Beachy residence, with Bishop Dan Erb officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek.
