Marian Doney
Marian Louise Doney, 84, of Strasburg, died Jan. 1, 2010, at Union Hospital, Dover.
Born Dec. 9, 1925, in New Philadelphia, Marian was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Walters. She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1944 and was employed by the J.J. Newberry Co., New Philadelphia.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence E. Doney, whom she married in 1949; daughter, Janice (Dave) Jones of Powell; sons, Glen (Kimberly) Doney of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo., and Dave Doney of Delaware; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine June (Arnold) Zontini of Fairfield, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Coffey Siders; and sister-in-law, Edna Teter.
Services were held Jan. 8, 2010, at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Rev. Lynda K. Masters officiating. Burial was in Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg.
