MassMu will host 2 free workshops
Each artist may submit up to three digital images of artwork completed within the past two years. Artwork in any medium will be considered.
Entries for the Massillon Museum’s 2020 Stark County Artists Exhibition are due Sunday, July 5.
The annual exhibition is open to present and former Stark County residents and to those currently working in Stark County, 18 years and older. Each artist may submit up to three digital images of artwork completed within the past two years. Artwork in any medium will be considered.
MassMu will host two free workshops to help artists prepare their artwork for consideration on Thursday, June 18 from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Spaces are limited. Required reservations may be made by emailing submissions@massillonmuseum.org or calling 330-833-4061. The date is subject to change, based on COVID-19.
Artists may bring digital photographs to the workshop, and staff will help with the online submission process. There is no fee for this assistance. Artists wishing to attend will be strongly encouraged to wear face coverings; a limited number of spaces will allow for safe distancing.
Artists who need help digitizing their entries may bring their physical artwork (up to 60-by-60 inches) to the workshop to be photographed and submitted. The fee for this service is $5 per piece.

A nonrefundable $15 per artwork or $30 for three is due when entries are submitted. Artwork may be for sale; MassMu will retain a 30% commission on work sold.
The Stark County Artists Exhibition will fill the museum’s Aultman Health Foundation Gallery from Sept. 12 through Jan. 17, 2021. Information about a virtual reception will be announced later.
