Gymnastics team comes home with 4 regional champions

The Tuscarawas County YMCA gymnastics team came home with four regional champions on April 14 after a weekend of competition at the Robert K. Fox Family YMCA in Logan, Ohio.
The Y regional gymnastics meet included teams from 23 different YMCAs. Ellie Horger led the Tuscarawas team with an all-around score of 36.58 out of a possible 40 points. Close behind was Lily Endlich with 36.425 points and Lily Denney with 35.175 points. Horger captured the Level 4 all-around champion while Endlich was the Xcel Gold beam and floor champion. Denney won the Level 6 bar championship, and Jaycie Baker won the Level 6 beam championship.
As a team the Level 6 gymnasts took fifth place.
Gymnasts from the local team that scored a 9.0 or higher were Horger, 9.05 on vault, 9.125 on bars, 9.25 on beam and 9.425 on floor; Endlich, 9.025 on vault, 9.4 on beam and 9.75 on floor; Kendall Geers, 9.1 on floor and 9.075 on beam; Jaycie Baker, 9.45 on beam; Arli Waller, 9.375 on floor; Kinsley McDonald, 9.275 on floor; Denney and Mia McPeek, 9.25 on floor; Avery Gause, 9.175 on floor; Kinley Reichman, 9.15 on floor; and Vivian Denney, 9.125 on floor.
The top 12 scores in each event and level were awarded ribbons, medals and trophies.
Those earning awards were as follows:
Level 7
—Mia McPeek: third on bars, eighth on floor, ninth all-around, 10th on beam and 12th on vault.
Level 6
—Lily Denney: first on bars, third all-around, fifth on floor, sixth on beam and ninth on vault.
—Jaycie Baker: first on beam, fourth on bars, fifth on vault, eighth all-around and ninth on floor.
—Vivian Denney: eighth on floor and 10th om beam.
—Kinsley McDonald: fifth on beam and sixth on floor.
Xcel Gold
—Lily Endlich: first on beam and floor and fourth on vault and all-around.
—Kendall Geers: third on beam, seventh on floor and all-around, and 10th on vault.
—Penelope Endlich: 11th on beam.
—Gracyn Beaber: 11th on floor and 12th on vault.
—Lucy Miller: 12th on bars.
Level 4
—Ellie Horger: first all-around; second on vault, bars and beam; and third on floor.
—Kinley Reichman: fifth on bars, sixth on vault and all-around, seventh on floor, and 12th on beam.
—Arli Waller: fourth on floor, fifth on vault, and 10th on bars and all-around.
—Avery Gause: sixth on floor and ninth on vault.
—Jaylee Lute: sixth on vault and 12th on floor.
—Presley Lute: sixth on vault.
