Congress seems to prefer foreign wars to American aid
Letter to the Editor,
Post Hurricane Helene, an unconfirmed lineman in North Carolina said they found a man buried up to his shoulders, and as they tried to dig him out, he said, “Don't, please let me go. I don’t want to live anymore.”
They asked him why he didn’t want to live, and he said, “Because my wife and children are gone.” They told him people are still being found and his family could be safe, and he replied, “I know they didn’t make it because they’re under me and they stopped scratching my leg three days ago.”
Congress sends Ukraine, Israel and Lebanon more millions, weapons and aid for something created by the U.S. government. The U.S. Congress, a body of elected people who control government spending, would rather be in foreign wars than help U.S. citizens after a disaster.
Who started Hamas? Israel and the CIA with U.S. finances to fight Yasser Arafat’s Fatah in the 1980s. Israel funneled $10 million a month for years to Qatar for Hamas. Insanity! Hezbollah began as opposition to Israel murdering Palestinians over decades.
Seven to 10 days before Oct. 7, 2023, Netanyahu addressed the United Nations showing a map of the “new” Middle East without Gaza. He showed architectural drawings of planned housing there for Israel. The most secure border in the world had no soldiers or monitoring before Oct. 7. Why? Perhaps a planned invitation for a wanted war for Palestinian extermination? About 600 of the 1,200 deaths on Oct. 7 were from IDF friendly fire when given orders to kill, not knowing they were killing their citizens.
Mark Twain once said, “If you don’t read the newspaper, you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed.” Most relevant news is manufactured lies.
