TOPS discusses ways to diet while dining out
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Best weekly loser was Bonnie Porter. She said to take only three bites of each “no-no” food you eat. Mable Leid was best monthly TOPS, and Lana Rush was best weekly and monthly KOPS.
Leid gave a program from The Holmes Bargain Hunter titled “Different Ways to Dine Out While Sticking to Your Diet.” Ways mentioned are plan ahead by looking online at what is available, eat a small protein-based snack before, consider an appetizer instead of an entrée, fill up on salad or vegetables, and save calories with alternatives to alcohol.
Porter will have the program on Dec. 3. TOPS Club meets each week at the Nashville Global Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
