Claymont Foundation awards scholarships
The Claymont Foundation has awarded scholarships to 71 Claymont students and graduates totaling $$100,250. These scholarships have been made possible through donations from many individuals, organizations and businesses who value education.
Three students who will attend the Buckeye Career Canter in the fall will each be receiving a $500 Carl McPeak Vocational Memorial Scholarship. Those winners are Wyatt Robinson, Jeremy Carlson and Haylee Heavilin.
The following are Claymont High School seniors receiving scholarships:
Claudia Birch is the recipient of a $500 Glenn and Charlotte M. Stilgenbauer Foundation Memorial Scholarship and $1,000 Larry and Greg Craft Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study biology.
Kayden Birney is the recipient of a $1,500 Claymont Class of 1978 Scholarship to attend Kent State University to study business management and accounting.
Jacob Cannon is the recipient of a $500 Vickie Lynn Hunt-Barnabi Memorial Scholarship to attend the University of Akron to study aerospace engineering.
Lydia Cochran is the recipient of a $1,000 Helen Brainerd Memorial Scholarship, a $500 Bill Cox Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Claymont Foundation Scholarship to attend Kent State University to study psychology.
Taylur Cunningham is the recipient of a $1,500 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Glenn and Charlotte M. Stilgenbauer Foundation Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study business management.
Eric Debolt is the recipient of a $1,000 Marie and Hud Hillyer Memorial Scholarship, a $1,000 Collin and Shannon Fawcett Scholarship and a $1,000 Viktorya Willett Foundation Scholarship to attend Marietta College to study environmental engineering.
Kollin Edwards is the recipient of a $750 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Ashland University to study computer science.
Mariah Evans is the recipient of a $1,250 LaPorte Family Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study veterinary technician.
Cole Ferguson is the recipient of a $500 Don and Helen Wright Scholarship and a $1,000 Eclipz Garabrandt Foundation Scholarship to attend the Ohio State University-Agriculture Tech Institute to study animal science.
Kaylyn Fichter is the recipient of a $1,500 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study interior design.
Grace Furniss is the recipient of a $1,000 D Sam and Jean Romig Memorial Scholarship, a $750 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship, a $500 Quest Club Scholarship and a $500 Glenn and Charlotte M. Stilgenbauer Foundation Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study early childhood education.
Brittney Gartrell is the recipient of a $2,250 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study nursing.
Makayla Grant is the recipient of a $1,000 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship, a $500 Ted and Carol Gram Memorial Scholarship, and a $1,000 Uhrichsville Class of 1956 Scholarship to attend Stark State to study dental assisting.
Payton Greer is the recipient of a $500 Glenn and Charlotte M. Stilgenbauer Foundation Memorial Scholarship to attend Buckeye Career Center adult education program to study medical assisting.
Heather Hinchcliff is the recipient of a $750 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State Tuscarawas to study special education.
Katherine Host is the recipient of a $500 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship to attend Capital University to study nursing.
Taylor Jackson is the recipient of a $1,250 John B. Nolan Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University to study physics and astronomy.
Meaghan James is the recipient of a $2,250 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University to study zoology.
Autumn Leeper is the recipient of a $1,000 LaPorte Family Scholarship to attend Akron University to study psychology.
Jewel Lumpcik is the recipient of a $1,000 LaPorte Family Scholarship, a $500 Vickie Lynn Hunt-Barnabi Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas to study occupational therapy.
Abbigail Parrish is the recipient of a $2,750 Paul R and Lois J Sproul Memorial Scholarship to attend Kent State University or Ohio University and is undecided on a field of study.
Rachel Ralston is the recipient of a $750 Willard Family Scholarship and a $500 LaPorte Family Scholarship to attend Hocking College to study animal assisted therapy.
Caylan Rentsch is the recipient of a $500 Bill Cox Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Paul Fanti Scholarship to attend Kent State University to study art history.
Sarah Sidoti is the recipient of a $1,000 Marie and Hud Hillyer Memorial Scholarship, a $1,000 Cliff Pocock Memorial Scholarship, $750 Ensign James W. Haverfield Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Cliff and Erma Reneker Memorial Scholarship to attend the University of Mount Union to study criminal justice.
Noah Stewart is the recipient of a $500 Clayton "Pete" Wolfe Memorial Scholarship and a $250 LaPorte Family Scholarship to attend the University of Akron or University of Mount Union to study English.
Noah Striker is the recipient of a $500 Claymont Board of Education Scholarship to attend the Ohio State University to study computer information science.

Dekin Vanderpool is the recipient of a $500 Bill Cox Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Paul Fanti Scholarship to attend the Akron University to study criminal intelligence analysis.
