Tuscarawas County Pork Producers scholarships available

The Tuscarawas County Pork Producers are accepting applications for their $500 scholarships. Six scholarships will be awarded to area students. Applicants must be a resident of Tuscarawas County or a family member of a Tuscarawas County Pork Producer. Any student currently a high school senior or college student, up to the age of 25, may apply. They encourage any student who plans to pursue a career in agriculture or an agriculture-related field to apply. Applications are due Feb. 8, 2010. The scholarships will be announced at the meeting in March 2010. All Tuscarawas County high schools, Kent/Tuscarawas, Stark State, OSU-ATI, and The Ohio State University Extension Office have applications.
