Applications open for next Leadership Orrville class
The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 Leadership Orrville class.
The mission of Leadership Orrville is to enrich the community through a values-based leadership development program.
Participants will come away with the self-awareness and tools necessary to lead as an extension of their character rather than from their position of authority. In addition to exploring contemporary leadership content, classes will emphasize building a professional life of purpose, meaning and connection.
Each cohort is limited to 18 people to foster an environment of engagement and personal exploration. Each meeting is a daylong retreat held monthly from September to May.
Leadership Orrville seeks to enrich the area by equipping and challenging participants to be servant leaders who impact others in meaningful ways.
As an initiative of the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce, this program furthers OACC’s mission to develop and retain a community of engaged employees and leaders; to provide resources, trainings, development and connections for chamber members; and to support initiatives that strengthen the community.
Expectations
Leadership Orrville expects full participation from each class member. To ensure an effective learning environment and the opportunity for all class members to actively participate, class size is limited to 18 participants.
The program will begin with the first class on Sept. 18. Participants are expected to attend all nine sessions from September through May on the third Wednesday of each month from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Failure to attend two sessions may result in removal from the program with no refund provided. Advance notice of at least one day is required if a participant is unable to attend a session unless there is an emergency or valid circumstance.
Tuition
Tuition for each participant is $1,300 for Orrville Area Chamber members and $1,600 for non-Orrville Area Chamber members and must be paid upon acceptance into the program prior to the first session in September. Tuition is nonrefundable after this date. The tuition payment covers all curriculum materials, speaker fees and meals.
