Love Center has a busy month of February
A total of 251 different families came to the Love Center during February. Some families came more than once, making a total of 330 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 25,455 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 18,011 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 715.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Gateway Fellowship, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry in Millersburg, St. Peter’s Ladies Guild, St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Zion Reformed Church.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Amish Door Market, Arrowhead, Ashery, Baltic Country Meats, Berlin Natural Bakery, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Charm Market Place, Cub Scout Troup 357, Der Dutchman, Walnut Creek, Farmerstown Auction, Green Leaf Acres, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Holmes County Home, Holmes County Way, J-Mar Market, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, Love in the Name of Christ, McDonald’s in Millersburg, Miller Custom Vending, Mt. Hope Country Health Store, ODOT and Troyer Mfg/Amish Wedding Foods.
Food and cash donations from individuals included Brian Barbey, Barbara Bontrager, Ray Casdorph, Russell Cunningham, Rachel Day, Kay Earney, Collins Kamau, Arden Kauffman, Rachel Miller, Teri Mohr, Betty Mullet, Sherry Owens, Dave Pratt, Katharyn Wheeler and five anonymous.
Memorials included Marcia Hatten, Leonard Jorz, Susan Sandrock and Richard Stambaugh.
Cash contributions for the general fund can be sent to P.O. Box 31, Millersburg, OH 44654, and food donations can be dropped off at the Love Center at 1291 Massillon Road, Suite A, Millersburg, any Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
