Going to the dentist can be scary for kids, so speaker Stephanie Snyder is going to help kids get over this fear.

Snyder has been in pediatric dentistry since 2015. She is a full-time student presently at Stark State in Canton. “I love getting kids excited about their teeth,” Snyder said.

She will do a presentation on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. in the children’s department at the Dover Public Library.

She will talk about why, when and how to brush and floss with a big model of teeth and an extra-large toothbrush. She also will discuss the foods that are good to eat, talk about a dental visit and what to expect, and discuss wiggly teeth and cavity bugs.

Each child also will go home with a goody bag. “This is a great opportunity to help kids learn that you shouldn’t be afraid of the dentist in a fun way,” said Jen Gardner, children’s department manager.

No registration is required for this program.
