Shyanne Carroll will be the featured speaker of the 2024 Women’s Success Series on Friday, June 7 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Kent State Tuscarawas in the Science and Advanced Technology Center. The cost to attend is $15 when paid in advance and $20 at the door. The fee includes a continental breakfast.

The Women’s Success Series is designed to inspire women of all ages to succeed personally and professionally. Each year the leadership series features three women who have enjoyed a measure of success in Tuscarawas County. The sessions also include networking opportunities and a book discussion or TED Talk. The May 2024 discussion will feature the book, “Lean Out: The Truth about Women, Power and the Workplace,” by Marissa Orr.

“We are so happy to welcome Shyanne as the final speaker of the season,” said Wendy Zucal, director of Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and one of the event organizers. “We are blessed in this community to have so many strong women to lead in the business community. Shyanne will bring a great message to our audience, which is comprised of women of all ages and from all walks of life. It creates an interesting mix and leads to dynamic and thoughtful discussions, fellowship and networking. We are also excited to recognize the 40 leading ladies of Tuscarawas County, announced earlier this year, following the presentation.”

Carroll serves as the public relations coordinator at Buckeye Career Center. Prior to her time at BCC, she was a news reporter for WJER Radio. Carroll credits her mentors and those who have come before her for allowing her the ability to succeed in the career field she loves.

In 2023 three organizations collaborated to create 40 Leading Ladies of Tuscarawas County. The organizations include The Women’s Success Series, Dennison Depot Museum and Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce. The platform was designed to recognize female leadership in the county. The leading ladies will be recognized during the program and will receive complementary registration.

The registration deadline for the session is May 31. Registrations are limited to the first 100 participants. To register online, visit ShyanneCarroll.eventbrite.com.
