Y to host annual Healthy Kids Day
The event will include inflatables, balloon twisters, a caricature artist, The Mugicians, community partners, activities, crafts and more.
The Tuscarawas County YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the YMCA. This nationwide event is free and open to the community.
No registration is required to attend. The first 100 youth will receive a YMCA swag bag. The event will include inflatables, balloon twisters, a caricature artist, The Mugicians, community partners, activities, crafts and more.
“We hope that families will come check out the Y and spend a free, fun-filled Saturday afternoon together,” said Kathleen Johnson, senior program director.
Event sponsors include DoverPhila Federal Credit Union, Dover-New Phila Kiwanis Club, Aultman Hospital, United Way of Tuscarawas County, Kimble Company, Shelly Cox Insurance & Financial Services, Dover Brake, The Village Network, ProVia and Molina Healthcare. Twenty-five community partners also will have tables set up to give information about their organizations and provide activities.
Community partners scheduled to attend include Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio, Tuscarawas County Health Department, Aultman Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Eva Women’s Clinic, The Dover/New Philadelphia Salvation Army, Family First Council, Empower Tusc, Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Newsymom/Flourish, Birthright of New Philadelphia, Compass, Tuscarawas County Public Library System, COAD4Kids, The Village Network, YMCA Camp Tippecanoe, YMCA of Central Stark County, It Takes Heart Ohio - Caritas, Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services, Dover Public Library, Hennis Care Centre, and Camp Tuscazoar.
