Health department flu vaccines
The Wayne County Health Department began giving seasonal flu vaccines on Monday, Sept. 14 by appointment only during its clinic hours from 9-10 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Private insurance is accepted.
The high-dose vaccine cost is $60, which is recommended for those 65 and older, and the quadrivalent flu vaccine cost is $40. The health department has not received its shipment of pediatric vaccine at this time. Face masks are required to be worn.
